Aluminum castings often fail to cast because of the excessive heat conduction of the metal mold and the low melting point of the upper aluminum, which results in the early cooling of the molten aluminum when it is not filled with the mold cavity. In order to avoid the insufficient casting of aluminum castings, we should pay attention to the following problems:
, increase casting temperature;
, the mold necessary heating, insulation, or in the mold sprayed with thermal insulation coating;
, improve the gating system, make the casting more smooth and shorten the filling time;
, the metal model of wall thickness requirements, and if the wall thickness is too thin, then consider the use of other processes, such as die casting.
